Cameron et al. (1989) - a consignment of M. carpocapsae (as Aenoplex carpocapsae) (54 adults, 67 larvae, 51 pupae) was imported from Canada in March 1943. By March 1944, 80 adults had been reared.

Cameron et al. (1989) - at least some of the 80 adults reared (see 'Import notes' section) were released, presumably in, or close to, Nelson.
