Unwanted in New Zealand: diseases and pests of crops

This project aims to enhance New Zealand's biosecurity by enabling the early detection of new diseases and pests in crops and so increase the chances of eradication.

Pictorial guides are provided for selected crops, describing pests and diseases not currently present in New Zealand. The organisms selected should be easily recognised by their distinctive appearance and/or unique symptoms on the plants.

The guides should be used in conjunction with information on pests and diseases already in New Zealand. See each crop for suggested sources.
