Import notes:
Cameron et al. (1989) - searches in western Argentina for natural enemies of Wiseana spp. [a hepialid moth genus endemic to New Zealand] identified N. aurea, which was reared from hepialids in the genus Dalaca. Four adult N. aurea shipped to New Zealand in 1968 arrived dead. A total of 121 females (of 269 consigned) survived from 12 shipments in 1969. Inoculations of Wiseana spp. with larvae from this material were unsuccessful. No material was released into the field.
