Cameron et al. (1989) - Gelis tonsus is a secondary parasitoid which emerged from a 1955 importation of 5,000 Coleophora trifolii host larvae collected near Montmédy, France. One female of this parasitoid species emerged and was sent to the British Museum of Natural History for identification.
