Cameron et al. (1989) - eighty Novius sp. [as Rodolia sp. - see taxonomic note in 'General comments' section], probably Novius iceryae [then Rodolia iceryae] were imported from South Africa in 1887 and released.

General comments:

Taxonomic note (18 February 2023) - Pang et al. (2020) synonymised the genus Rodolia Mulsant under the genus Novius Mulsant.
